Fear of making a mistake is also a measurable feature of hetero sexuality in that the only ones who can prove we have wrong behavior are people of the same sex. Those of the opposite sex cannot prove that we are wrong. For exactly the same reason homosexuality has a component of fear of the opposite sex.

From the perspective of the deep unconscious if you are going to let the opposite sex prove your wrong things can only end badly.
